The Los Angeles Sanitation and Environment (LASAN) Department is spearheading the “Spread the Warmth" Blanket and Socks Drive, calling on the community to donate blankets, sleeping bags, quilts, and socks to support the city's unhoused as winter sets in. Until December 29, 2023, Angelenos can drop off donations at various city locations, ensuring those without a roof over their heads can find comfort during the chilling nights.
Various drop-off sites across the city are ready to accept donations from Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, except for public holidays like Veteran's Day and Christmas, as reported by LASAN.
For Los Angeles residents looking to give back, LASAN has provided several convenient locations for donations. These include the Public Works Building in Downtown LA, district yards scattered in Sun Valley, Northridge, Los Angeles proper, South LA, and even as far as San Pedro.
