Los Angeles is dealing with a spree of vehicular vandalism, and the LAPD is calling on the public for aid. Approximately 30 cars were damaged in a midday rampage, and now detectives are releasing details, hoping witnesses come forward.

According to the LAPD Newsroom, the incidents took place on December 4, 2023, in a spree that lasted around three hours. The suspect, wielding a yellow crowbar, went on a destruction spree that left a trail from 4th Street to 7th Street, and from Westmoreland Boulevard to Virgil Avenue. The string of attacks unfolded between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., with vehicles suffering smashed bodies and broken windows.

Authorities have described the suspect as a male, black, outfitted in a “Dallas” sweatshirt, black pants, black slippers, and in possession of a neon green bag. Witnesses described the individual as being hostile toward anyone who approached. Detectives have reason to believe there may be more victims who have yet to come forward.
