
A man's late-night drive ended with a crash, an arrest, and the recovery of drugs and a loaded gun in Marin County, authorities said Sunday.
According to the Central Marin Police Authority, officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had collided with a fence on Corte Madera Avenue at around 1:49 am on December 9. Discovering a male individual at the helm of the damaged car, an investigation quickly escalated to an arrest on suspicion of DUI.
When the officers searched the man and his vehicle, unearthing 1.3 ounces of suspected cocaine, 1.25 ounces of suspected MDMA, drug-related paraphernalia, and a loaded handgun, per the Central Marin Police Facebook post.
Detained and booked, the unidentified suspect faces numerous charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm, having a loaded firearm in a vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance for sale.
