Authorities in Lawrence, Massachusetts, are piecing together the circumstances surrounding a fatal shooting at a local nightclub on Christmas Eve. Edward Javier-Perez, 29, was killed during an incident at Energy Lounge, located at 459 Broadway.
Lawrence Police and emergency responders were called to the scene around 12:20 a.m., where they found Javier-Perez with a gunshot wound, as reported by NBC Boston. The victim was quickly rushed to Lawrence General Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is between Lawrence Police Detectives, the Massachusetts State Police, and the Essex County District Attorney's Office. To date, no suspect has been apprehended in connection to the shooting.
The shooting remains under investigation, stated the authorities, as reported by Boston 25 News.
