On arrival, crews found smoke billowing from the roof of the single-family residence and quickly moved to offensive mode to combat the inferno.
A total of 28 firefighters fought determinedly to subdue the fire, which was predominantly confined to the attic and walls of the building. The LAFD achieved a knockdown by 2:02 AM, a swift action that spanned 19 minutes, the department reported.
