A 37-year-old man is fighting for his life after being critically injured in a brazen robbery turned shooting in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood on Tuesday morning. The man was with another individual around 7 a.m. when the incident occurred on the 2200 block of South Hamlin Avenue, as reported by the Chicago Sun-Times.
Details provided by the Chicago Police described a harrowing scene in which four men, armed and emerging from a white SUV, demanded and took to possess personal items from one of the victims. Subsequently, a volley of shots was fired, critically wounding the man. Despite the swift response and efforts of paramedics, the victim's condition was listed as critical at Mount Sinai Hospital, with gunshot wounds spread throughout his body.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the other man involved in the incident appears to have escaped physical harm.
