A skirmish turned bloody on the streets of Chicago's South Side, leaving a 24-year-old man with a bullet wound to the face, authorities said Wednesday. The near-fatal incident erupted around 11:30 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Michigan Avenue in the city's Washington Park neighborhood.
While involved in the altercation, the young man found himself staring down the barrel of a gun, taking a shot to the face at point-blank range. He was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center and remained in critical condition, as reported by CBS Chicago.
