Manchester Police are on the hunt for a woman accused of lifting historical treasures from the Manchester Historical Society, following a break-in that occurred back in September. The targeted establishment suffered the loss of antique medals, some dating as far back as the 1800s, after their display case was found shattered.
Caught on camera during the time of the heist, the surveillance footage captured both a man and a woman within the premises. As seen in the footage, the authorities managed to track down and cuff Dennis Higgins, 58, of Manchester, slapping him with a criminal trespass charge in October, as reported by Manchester Ink Link. The second suspect, Mistie Donoghue Bourgeois, 32, also from Manchester, is still at large, with police issuing a warrant for her arrest.
The break-in, which authorities responded to on September 30, led to an immediate investigation. Manchester PD, piecing together the clues, identified Higgins, who was arrested on October 25 and is currently facing charges. According to a statement obtained by NBC Boston, the female accomplice, Bourgeois, has been identified, but her whereabouts remain unknown.
Manchester detectives are urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the apprehension of Donoghue Bourgeois, believed to have made off with valuable pieces of the city's heritage. As details continue to emerge from the September heist, anyone with knowledge regarding the current location of Bourgeois is prompted to make contact with Detective Adam Bergeron Rosa at 603-792-5508, as per the details put forth by WMUR.
