The weather pattern gets considerably less cooperative Tuesday, when showers are possible from about 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by additional showers and a chance of thunderstorms. The chance of precipitation is 40% during the day and rises to 50% Tuesday night.

Thursday keeps the unsettled pattern going with another chance of showers and thunderstorms, while Friday should turn partly sunny with a high near 72 and only a slight shower risk late in the day.
Moderate Rip Current Risk At Cape Beaches
The weather service is also flagging a moderate rip current risk at ocean-exposed Cape beaches and Nantucket on Saturday. Anyone heading to the coast should check with lifeguards or beach staff before entering the water and stay near supervised swimming areas.
