A cold front should clear the coast Friday evening, bringing a west wind and a more comfortable overnight low near 62. Saturday looks like the weekend’s easiest outdoor day, with sunny skies, a high around 76 and northeast winds near 7 mph. Saturday night should be mostly clear, with temperatures falling to about 63.
Sunday Warms Up Before A Wet Week
Sunday will be mostly sunny and warmer, reaching about 85 degrees with southwest winds between 6 and 12 mph. Monday stays mostly sunny near 79, but shower and thunderstorm chances increase Tuesday and Wednesday, when precipitation chances reach about 50% each day. The National Weather Service says the timing of those early- to midweek showers remains uncertain, while no watches, warnings or advisories are currently listed.
If thunder turns up Friday afternoon, head indoors until it passes. Otherwise, Boston’s weekend forecast is shaping up as a fairly friendly reset: cooler and sunnier Saturday, warmer Sunday, then a more unsettled pattern to start September.
