Law enforcement in Medina County is on the hunt for suspects accused of firing pellet and BB guns at moving vehicles in a series of unprovoked attacks. According to the Medina County Sheriff's Office, there have been 11 such incidents since November 27, spanning across areas near Lacoste, Natalia, and Castroville. Reported injuries have not yet occurred, as informed by KSAT.

Driving home one evening, the car of Cheyenne Bragg was hit by what at first she believed was a rock. It turned out to be a pellet lodged in her window. According to an interview by KENS 5, Bragg said,  “It sounded like it was like a rock that hit my wheel well,”

“We’re fortunate no one’s been seriously hurt, or they’ve caused someone to wreck and someone to be injured or even killed,” Sheriff Randy Brown mentioned in a statement obtained by KSAT. Brown also urged that anyone who has experienced similar incidents should reach out to the authorities as part of the ongoing investigation.

Victim Crystal Aragon, sharing her experience with KENS 5, an uninvited pellet hit her car, where the window next to her two-year-old son—a child asleep in his car seat that startled awake and began to scream—was cracked.

The Sheriff's Office is not yet revealing information about a possible suspect vehicle but is examining area surveillance. Sheriff Brown is confident about apprehending the culprits, warning,“If you think this is fun in games, you’re not going to be laughing when we catch you and we will catch them and when we do, they’ll be facing serious serious charges,”, from the statement he gave to KENS 5.

Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Witnesses or those with knowledge of the incidents are encouraged to call Medina County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-FOR-CUFF (1-800-367-2833).
