Two separate shootings at Miami gas stations have left one man critically injured and another recovering. A dispute at a gas station on southwest 40th Terrace escalated into gunfire on Saturday, critically wounding one individual who was later rushed to Kendall Regional, as reported by NBC Miami. Miami-Dade police say that during the altercation involving four people, a gun was drawn, and three suspects were detained at the scene.
The following day, another man suffered gunshot wounds in the lower extremities at a 7-Eleven on SW 137th Avenue and SW 268 Street. According to CBS Miami, an unknown vehicle, described as a black Audi with dark tints, circled the gas station before opening fire and was seen fleeing in an unknown direction after the incident. The man who was with the victim, believed to be the driver, left the scene on foot, and authorities are currently seeking information about his whereabouts.
In the first incident, one of the men, during the dispute, shot another, leaving him in critical condition. The active scene caught on NBC6's cameras showed the apprehension of at least one suspect. However, what led to the violent eruption is still unclear.
The ambush at the 7-Eleven, reported by CBS Miami, occurred when a driver and his passenger, having just stopped for gas, were attacked in a drive-by shooting. The visiting car opened fire, striking the passenger after he returned from inside the store. Described as very fortunate by the police that no other injuries were sustained given the station's activity level. The victim is now in stable condition at Jackson Memorial South.
With Miami-Dade police investigating both cases, they urge anyone with information to step forward. For the Southwest 40th Terrace shooting, details are still scarce. On the other hand, the 7-Eleven incident has yielded a possible vehicle description, but the driver who fled on foot and the number of suspects remain a mystery.
Tipsters in either case can contact Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-8477 or (305) 471-TIPS. With no arrest reported in the 7-Eleven shooting and three suspects in custody for the altercation at the southwest 40th Terrace gas station.
