The City of Mill Valley has announced a series of lane and road closures beginning December 26 due to necessary maintenance and repair work by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD). To manage vegetation and ensure the smooth and safe provision of utilities, the maintenance work will see lane closures in multiple areas, including Shelley Drive, Somerset Lane, and Underhill Road. These closures are scheduled daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, starting on December 26 and concluding on December 29. Additional infrastructure works by MMWD will close a lane on Fern Ave on December 26, and Locust Ave will undergo concrete repairs on December 27, each causing further interruptions. Meanwhile, Kipling Drive will witness lane closures for X-arm replacement on December 28, while conduit repair will close lanes on the busy stretch of 500 - 542 Miller Ave.
Travelers are also advised to note a complete road closure on La Goma Street on December 29 for a water leak repair by MMWD. The closure is set from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, potentially impacting daytime traffic.
