A tragic event unfolded on Monday night in Chula Vista, where a motorcyclist was killed in a collision that involved four vehicles. Fox 5 San Diego reported that at around 8:31 PM, police officers were called to the scene at the 00 block of H Street after a collision was reported between a vehicle and a motorcycle.
The aftermath of the accident revealed a dire scenario, with the motorcyclist found in the eastbound lane suffering from major trauma. Officers determined that four vehicles had been involved, two of which stayed at the scene. The Chula Vista Fire Department could only attempt lifesaving measures that were not enough to triumph over the catastrophic injuries sustained by the rider, per 10News.
Witness statements and evidence collected suggest that a third vehicle implicated in the incident fled the scene. This vehicle, a white SUV, is now the subject of a city-wide search, with police urgently requesting that anyone with information regarding its whereabouts come forward.
Anyone holding information that could lead to locating the white SUV or its driver is strongly encouraged to contact the Chula Vista Police Department.
