A Naperville man was nabbed at O'Hare for a fatal stabbing in Austin as the Chicago police tagged him with murder charges, authorities have confirmed. Alexander Iwerebon, 27, already known to the law for past infractions, is now facing the heat for allegedly ending a 45-year-old man's life with a blade on Nov. 14 in the 5800 block of West Division Street, a report by the Chicago Sun-Times detailed.
This isn't Iwerebon's first. Back in 2017, he was detained on a $200,000 bond after stabbing an acquaintance in Naperville, and his rap sheet was extended in 2020 with a medley of seven felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic offenses that included having a stolen vehicle and a cocktail of drug possession and open container violations. Law enforcement officials caught up with Iwerebon on December 15 at the airport, with the upcoming courtroom face-off scheduled for Monday, per Chicago police statements cited by FOX 32 Chicago.
