The young driver of the Toyota was transported to Hartford Hospital with suspected minor injuries. A second passenger in the Toyota, a 57-year-old woman also from Brooklyn, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the same hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under active investigation by the Connecticut State Police.
