Early Wednesday morning, the town of Calistoga was disrupted by an intense domestic dispute. The Calistoga Police Department and neighboring law enforcement agencies were thrust into a standoff after responding to a 911 call concerning a domestic violence incident. According to the official statement by the Calistoga Police Department, the incident commenced at around 7:00 a.m. yesterday when the City of Napa Police Dispatch Center received a distress call. Arriving at the scene, officers encountered a suspect who was uncooperative and had fortified himself within the residence, posing a considerable challenge for the authorities. Backed up by the St Helena Police Department, Napa County Sheriff's Office, and their Crisis Negotiations team, the responders worked diligently to de-escalate the confrontation.
