The City has gotten into bed with Republic Services, bringing this composting initiative right to your doorstep—but only if you sign up.
The service is bankrolled through your utility bills—opting in is crucial to getting in on the action. According to a City of Plymouth announcement, every household is footing the bill regardless, thanks to state law and a county mandate. Carts will land in the driveways of those who join the bandwagon by late February, so mark your calendars and visit plymouthmn.gov/organics to sign up.
Your blue and gray recycling bins aren't going anywhere, but they'll be getting a green companion for the compostable stuff—think food scraps and paper that worms dig.
