
Residents of the southeast side of San Antonio were rattled on Christmas Day when a 7-Eleven became the scene of an aggravated robbery. San Antonio Police are on the hunt for a suspect accused of using the festivity as a backdrop for crime. According to FOX San Antonio, the incident transpired at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the convenience store located at 403 Fair Ave.
Witness accounts describe how the suspect, accompanied by three children, allegedly stuffed merchandise into one of the children's backpacks. When an employee intervened, the suspect flashed a firearm and issued threats. The group departed with the stolen goods, only to return later with an unidentified woman. It was then that the situation escalated as the confrontation with store personnel resumed. The individuals fled the scene in a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck, as reported by KENS 5.
In response to the crime, Crime Stoppers has stepped forward to solicit the public’s assistance. They have offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to felony arrests in connection with this case. Tips leading to the apprehension and charge of the suspects are required to be submitted directly to Crime Stoppers to qualify for the reward and can be communicated through a call to (210) 224-STOP (210-224-7867).
The suspect, when captured, will face serious charges, including robbery, which elevates this case to the level of a felony. The authorities urge anyone with information to come forward. In the meantime, the investigation by the San Antonio police continues.
