The city's iconic River Walk is slated to transform into a winter wonderland. In a snow-filled extravaganza, the San Antonio River Authority is decking the halls and the canals with 50,000 pounds of frost.

It's all part of the annual Museum Reach River of Lights event set for December 9, as announced by the River Authority. This family-friendly holiday bash will run from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lock and Dam near Brooklyn Avenue, according to KSAT report.

"When designing and planning this year’s River of Lights event, we wanted to provide the community with an accessible, entertaining, and fun holiday event to bring their families to and create lifelong memories along the San Antonio River," Deputy Director of Parks & Recreation for the River Authority Kristen Hansen said in a statement obtained by KSAT.
