On Thursday, a man was critically wounded and trapped in the clutch of his own apartment stairwell. The 20-year-old, who has not been named, was riddled with bullets, suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, in an assault that police are still trying to unravel, as reported by FOX San Antonio.
The mayhem unfolded around 11:30 p.m. at the Vecina Apartment Complex off of Wilderness Oak, where answering officers found the young man struggling for his life pinned against a stairwell, and they say the shooter is believed to have fled in a black SUV.
There's an ongoing search for the assailant, whose description remains as elusive as the motive behind this violent act, as per KTSA reports.
