The driver, a 48-year-old man from Blackstone, was behind the wheel of a 2022 Ford Explorer when the vehicle left the highway around 6 p.m., slamming into the construction vehicles that were unoccupied in the infield. The right lane and off ramp at Exit 17 were closed for over two hours, causing delays. Emergency services and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, who provided the update, as documented by NBC Boston.
