Authorities in Texas and California are on high alert as two elderly individuals have mysteriously vanished, prompting Silver Alerts in their respective regions. In Bay City, Texas, 73-year-old John Forster was last observed walking at 40 Albatross Street around 9 p.m. Friday, according to Click2Houston. Standing five feet eight inches tall and weighing 122 pounds, concern is growing for the senior's well-being due to his age. Officials urge the public to contact the Matagorda County Sheriff’s Office with any information at 979-245-5526.

Similarly stirred by concerns for an at-risk senior, the CHP released a Silver Alert for 81-year-old Michele Paul, who has been missing since November 25. According to KRON4, Paul is identified as a white woman, stands 5-foot-2, weighs 110 pounds, and sports gray hair and black eyes. Before her disappearance, Paul was last seen in her Geyserville home on Nov. 14. The Healdsburg Police Department, who initially took on the case, now has the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office leading the investigation after she was seen in Monte Rio.

The issuing of Silver Alerts has become a crucial measure in the efforts to locate missing seniors, especially those with cognitive or developmental impairments. Forster, a man with a silver crown of experiences now lost to the streets, and Paul, a woman last spotted navigating a black 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, California license plate 8LBD141, are at the center of a search that crosses county lines and hearts. Anyone with the whereabouts of Michele Paul is encouraged to dial 9-1-1 or the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 565-2121.
