
A police officer's routine patrol turned perilous when a vehicle, helmed by an alleged inebriated driver, collided with his cruiser. This harrowing incident transpired around midnight, amid the 6400 block of Babcock Road.
It was reported by Fox San Antonio that the officer, traveling southbound, was blindsided when a white Mercedes-Benz, operated by a 30-year-old woman, emerged from the shadows of a bar parking lot to recklessly strike the cruiser.
The aftermath saw the officer conveyed to University Hospital, with reports detailing his suffering from head, neck, back, and arm pain.
San Antonio Police detained Brissa Acevedo, the 30-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, under suspicion of DWI, according to KSAT.
