More than 40 law enforcement agencies in Southern California will hit the streets for a two-day Operation Holiday Cheer parade to salute healthcare workers across four counties. The December 18 and 19 event is their way of thanking hospital staff, said Sergeant Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, police and sheriff cars will light up the route. Their journey will take them through locales such as Indio, Rancho Mirage, and Palm Springs, concluding the day in Hemet. On Tuesday, they'll continue spreading cheer in cities including Temecula and Corona, with their final stop at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.

Hospital workers will be greeted by the flashing lights and blaring sirens integral to the pageantry of law enforcement. The processional homage will cover over 400 miles and make stops at 40 hospitals—a powerful symbol of solidarity for those on the front lines. According to the Sheriff's Department announcement, this is one of the largest endeavors of its kind.
