
A dramatic police chase through the streets of North Miami ended with a bang as a stolen vehicle slammed into a tree, sending two suspects sprinting into a nearby neighborhood. The brief but intense pursuit concluded yesterday on Northeast 133rd Street and Second Avenue, as reported by WSVN.
The chase initiated when Miami-Dade Police officers attempted to pull over the reportedly stolen car. Images shared by CBS Miami depicted a number of police vehicles and officers gathering at the crash site. In the chaotic moments that followed the crash, the driver and passenger managed to briefly escape the wreckage and attempt to hastily flee the scene on foot.
However, the duo's freedom was short-lived. Police officers quickly tackled and apprehended the two individuals after a brief chase. Both were taken into custody, as captured by the on-scene news cameras. The Biscayne Police also arrived to provide assistance at the scene of the pursuit's abrupt conclusion.
Details continued to emerge in the aftermath as authorities pieced together the events that led up to the high-speed chase. The two men, now in handcuffs, await charges for their involvement in the vehicle theft and ensuing pursuit.
