A suspect on the run and wanted for car theft was cuffed after cops tracked him down to a street in North Houston, officials said.
Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's office made the collar Tuesday on the 16200 block of Stuebner Airline Drive, where they were following up on a lead about the suspect, later identified as Phil Nathan, Nathan was wanted for evading in a stolen vehicle during an earlier police chase, and this bust puts a stop to his alleged string of unlawful activities.
"Phil Nathan was arrested and booked into the Harris County jail for the Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle warrants. He is awaiting bond out of the 208th District Court," the Constable said in a statement obtained on their Facebook post.
The details surrounding the traffic pursuit which led to Nathan's warrants are still blurry, though officials have highlighted the persistent detective work that led to his arrest, an uncommon success story in the endless battle against vehicle theft and evasion on the streets.
