The investigation is drawing on local resources, including surveillance footage from neighborhood cameras. "The motive for this shooting incident is unknown, detectives are working to piece that together," Martin stated to NBC6. No arrests have been made at this time, and a description of the shooter or the motive remains elusive.

The community is grappling with the impact of gun violence as it heals from this recent tragedy. Community activist Tangela Sears expressed her strong emotions, saying, "I am furious. I am angry. I am hurt because I pray they make I but for the families to have to go through this pain of another senseless shooting in this community. It is very senseless. Gun violence just destroys the very gatherings of those who come together for the holidays," she told CBS News Miami. The incident has caused a ripple of fear and concern as residents prepare to enter the holiday season under a cloud of uncertainty and loss.
