Cambridge's streets were shattered by gunfire on Thanksgiving Day, leaving a young woman dead.
Marian Ryan, the District Attorney for Middlesex, and Christine Elow, Commissioner of the Cambridge Police, have officially identified the woman who was fatally shot in Cambridge on November 23 as 27-year-old Danasia Greene from Cambridge.
The incident erupted near 10 Magazine St. in Central Square. The sound of shots fired reverberated through the neighborhood, leading to a frantic 911 call around 12:30 a.m., as reported by Hoodline. Officers who arrived on the scene discovered two victims—one woman and a man. The woman was swiftly pronounced dead at a Boston hospital, and the man, aged 26, was left with non-life-threatening injuries.
While investigators have made some progress, the public's assistance is crucial, an official statement explained, echoed by The Middlesex District Attorney's office. Officials implore anyone with insights to step forth, promising anonymity through the tip line at 617-349-3370 or the online portal.
