Chaos erupted at a West Side bar early Wednesday when a bar brawl escalated into a stabbing and a shooting, ending with three suspects in cuffs, authorities said. The violent clash took place around 1:50 a.m. at the 151 Saloon on Westover Hills Drive, San Antonio police reported. Officers found a woman with a knife wound to her hand who was rushed to hospital in stable condition.
According to KSAT, two suspects made an exit in a truck, only to fire a gun in their wake. Police later stopped these individuals, recovering a knife and firearm from the vehicle. Meanwhile, another woman was pinned down at the scene by law enforcement as a potential suspect, treated for unspecified injuries by paramedics. The identities of those involved and the initial cause of the dispute were not immediately released.
Additionally, police located one gun shell casing in the parking lot, reported FOX San Antonio. Authorities say that a man in a white truck discharged a firearm into the air before hightailing it from the bar. The suspected assailant's flight was short-lived as officers pulled him over on Rogers Rd, where he complied with their commands.
The investigation wrapped with a man and a woman in custody for possessing the weapons, while the third individual was being questioned at the scene. Thankfully, no other injuries stemming from this late-night meleé were reported as the authorities continue piecing together the evening's turbulent events.
