A brutal altercation among youths at Lawrence Park has left two hospitalized and four in cuffs, local authorities confirmed. Officers from the Lawrence Police School Resource Officer Unit and the Patrol Division were summoned to Sullivan Park, right near Lawrence High School, following a distressing report of a male being savagely attacked on November 4, as reported by Boston 25 News.
A harrowing scene unfolded at the basketball court in the park, where police discovered one juvenile male sprawled on the ground and another with a freshly sliced face. After receiving immediate on-site treatment by emergency medical technicians, both of the injured parties were transported to Lawrence General Hospital, according to the report in Boston 25 News. The parents of the youths were notified and arrived as the dire situation unfolded.
Diving deeper, Lawrence Police uncovered five male juveniles as persons of interest linked to the disturbing incident. By yesterday morning, one more suspect joined the three who were already detained on Monday, as detailed by local law enforcement. The four apprehended suspects are poised to face charges imminently.
