Tragedy struck the Northwest Side of Chicago in Portage Park on Saturday night as a male body was discovered lifeless in a grim alleyway. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the man, whose age could not be determined, was found just after 11:00 p.m. pulling the community into a specter of concern and morbid curiosity. The grim scene unfolded on the 5800 block of West Belmont Avenue, where the man was pronounced dead.
The Chicago Police Department has initiated a death investigation, with few additional facts immediately released.
