The Vallejo Police Department reported a neighbor's arrest following a dispute on November 27, where a gun was alleged to have been fired during the confrontation. Officers were called to the scene on the 200 block of University Avenue after reports of the altercation came through.
According to the victim, a disagreement with her neighbor turned threatening when he warned her, "You better watch out. I have a gun!" She was compelled to quickly walk away, only to hear a gunshot behind her, which made her hastily seek refuge in her home and contact the police. The Vallejo Police Department confirmed the series of events in a statement outlining the victim's account of the threat and subsequent gunshot.
The police's investigation into the incident led them to discover damage to the victim's fence and retrieve bullet fragments from her yard, reinforcing the claim of a shooting. The authorities then moved to confront the suspect, whose identity was not publicly released, leading to his capture without further incident.
In the course of their investigation, Vallejo detectives were able to secure a search warrant, signed by a Solano County Superior Court judge, to thoroughly search the suspect's residence. The search resulted in finding a loaded firearm, multiple magazines, and a significant amount of ammunition.
