A Vallejo woman, victim of a threatening road rage encounter, took swift action, leading to the arrest of an armed parolee. On December 1, she reported a blue Acura driver brandishing a gun at her in a fit of rage on Springs Road, and when she sighted him again, she didn't hesitate to call the authorities.
According to a statement released by the Vallejo Police Department, the suspect tried to get away when officers located him in his vehicle on Lincoln Road West. The officers were relentless, quickly catching up and detaining the parolee. In a field identification, the victim confirmed without doubt that they had the right man.
A search executed on the suspect's vehicle, with the aid of a K9 unit specializing in firearm detection, unearthed more than just the reported weapon. Officials uncovered a firearm, not legally registered, containing around 44.4 grams of methamphetamine prepared for sale, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition. These findings landed the man back in custody, facing numerous felony charges.
The Vallejo Police Department extended its appreciation to the woman, whose alert reporting likely averted more serious trouble from the streets. The suspect, previously paroled for manslaughter, is now booked into the county jail with all evidence seized in the case secured.
