In a recent crackdown in Ware, Massachusetts, a man with a prior conviction for child pornography has been taken into custody on similar charges. Gregory Redmond, 34, found himself entangled with the law again after an investigation initiated in June pointed back to his doorstep. Sources from WWLP state that amidst the search on December 7, evidence was uncovered at the home he shared with his mother on Upper Church Street.
Police had previously convicted Redmond for holding onto sexually explicit material of minors. The Ware Police Department worked alongside the State Police Detective and Computer Crime Unit in the recent raid. With his history repeating, Redmond now faces the severe repercussions of a second offense, as reported by Western Mass News.
At his December 8 arraignment, the accused was hit with a hefty bail set at $50,000. The urgency of the charges is underscored by Redmond's swift arrest following the execution of the search warrant. The law showed no leniency as the man was held until he could be formally arraigned in the Eastern Hampshire District Court.
As investigations continue, the Massachusetts State Police are elbow-deep in forensic examinations of several electronic items hauled away from Redmond's house, hoping to uncover the full extent of his alleged crimes.
