On Gage Street, the Worcester Police Vice Squad apprehended a local man raking in a dealer-sized stash of drugs and an unconventional weapon to boot. According to a report by the Worcester Police Department, officers executed a search warrant last Tuesday evening that climaxed in the arrest of 33-year-old Francis Mattioli.
Vice Squad officers, warrant in hand, were to swiftly enter the premises at around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Their target was found and promptly detained without incident. A search of the apartment revealed bags of what appeared to be fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and packaging materials. Officers also located a crossbow.
Mattioli's residence on Gage Street was found to be a repository of illegal goods, leading to charges of Trafficking in a Class B Substance 18-36 Grams, Possession of a Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute, as well as Carrying a Dangerous Weapon.
