An Algonquin Township man is facing multiple charges after a harrowing incident where he allegedly sexually assaulted his girlfriend at knifepoint and restrained her for several hours, officials said Monday. Per reports from Fox32 Chicago, Patricio Salas, 32, was arrested on Saturday after deputies from the Kane County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic battery report in the 400 block of Natoma Trail at around 6:25 a.m.
The victim, whose identity has been withheld, reportedly endured an extended ordeal where she was forcibly held at knifepoint in a bedroom by Salas, during this time she attempted to contact emergency services, but he confiscated her phone, she eventually managed to send a terse "help" message to her brother-in-law according to the same source.
