
Tragedy struck a northwest Atlanta home when a toddler's choking episode turned fatal. The Atlanta Police Department is digging deep into the case after emergency services rushed to a distress call from a residence on the 400 block of Temple Street. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, paramedics responded to the scene at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Monday, but despite their attempts to save the child, the toddler succumbed and was pronounced dead at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Hughes Spalding.
Investigators are piecing together the details surrounding the tragic incident. Sources close to the investigation revealed that medical staff alerted police after the child had been brought in unresponsive. Officials from the Atlanta Police Department have yet to disclose the child's identity or confirm the cause of death.
