Atlanta law enforcement is intensifying their search for multiple suspects linked to separate incidents of robbery that have rattled the southwest part of the city. A robbery that occurred in May 2023, at an address on Stanton Road SW in Atlanta, is still under investigation, with the police reaching out to the community for help in pinning down the perpetrators. The Atlanta Police Department reported that the assailants, three men, forcibly demanded the keys to a vehicle and then proceeded to physically assault the victim before taking off with his 2010 Hyundai Elantra.
Those with any information are urged to to critically come forward and can anonymously contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta. "You don’t have to give your name or any identifying information to be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000," police stated in a release, as obtained by Atlanta News First. Surveillance footage has captured one of the suspects, which the police hope will lead to a breakthrough in the case.
In a separate incident, a convenience store at 12 Atlanta Avenue SW fell victim to a robbery only days earlier than the Stanton Road crime. The suspects, two men, were caught on camera during the heist at the Food Mart, with one brandishing a gun to compel the store clerk to empty the register and gaming machines. While one suspect played the role of enforcer, the other kept watch, in a brazen display captured on the store’s security system.
Investigators have released photos, appealing to the public to assist in the capture of these individuals. "Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers," according to details shared by 11Alive News. The Atlanta Police Department is determined to to promptly bring these suspects to justice and ensure the safety and security of the community’s storefronts and streets.
