Are you a student struggling with the high cost of college tuition? Fear not, the Austin Community College District (ACC) is here to help you navigate the financial aid maze this February. The college is offering a series of FAFSA workshops and one-on-one support sessions to guide both current and prospective students through the application process for the 2024-25 school year. With the belief that early birds get more financial worms, the school is urging students to act quickly to bag their share of aid, which is dished out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is already up and running, and ACC's Financial Aid Office is rolling up its sleeves to assist every student who walks through the door. They promise to help suss out all possible payment options and see the application to the end. "Figuring out how to pay for college remains one of the biggest barriers our students face. Many families are eligible for financial support. Our goal is to connect them with the best options to pay for college," Belinda Peña, ACC associate director of Financial Aid and Veterans Outreach, stated in an announcement gleaned from the college’s newsroom.

Financial Aid Month in February couldn't come at a better time, with the redesigned FAFSA form now more inclusive than ever. However, be aware, the process has undergone a face-lift. ACC wants to ensure that changes don't leave students feeling out in the cold; therefore, their team of experts is geared up to lead students by hand through every alteration in the application steps. To those who still have doubts or need further details, ACC encourages setting up a chat with an advisor for a more personalized breakdown of the financial support available.
Students interested in getting that critical support or who wish to lay their inquisitive minds to rest can reach out to an advisor by walking into ACC's Financial Aid Office or giving them a call for assistance that could be the difference-maker in your educational journey.
