This trio of scholars met the criteria for this award by maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or above, excelling in the PSAT/NMSQT, or securing scores of 3 or higher in at least two AP exams. Shureym Dalmar, Valentine Onchonga, and Mitchelle Kennedy stand out as bright beacons in their community, representing dedication to academic excellence among their peers, as per Bloomington Public Schools.
Valentine Onchonga, in particular, has earned a second distinct honor by being selected to represent Minnesota at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders. This recognition is reserved for high-achieving students with ambitions in medicine and will provide Onchonga an opportunity to gain insights from some of the foremost authorities in the medical field, including esteemed Nobel Prize laureates, according to FOX 9.
Onchonga's consistent answer to the question of her future aspirations has been, "Since I was a kid, whenever you would ask me, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?'... a doctor was the answer that I went to", as stated in FOX 9.
