The Boston Police Department has issued a missing person alert and is urgently seeking the public's help in locating Wenxin Zheng, a 14-year-old girl from Boston, who vanished on January 12, 2024. According to an alert released by the BPD, Zheng was last spotted around 5 p.m. in the Chinatown area on Washington St.
Reportedly wearing a black jacket and black pants when she disappeared, Zheng's absence has raised concerns among local authorities and the community alike. Known as a student at the John D. O’Bryant School, she is noted for frequenting areas such as Newbury Street, Downtown Crossing, and Castle Island, with additional connections in Quincy, MA.
The BPD has appealed for anyone with information on Wenxin's whereabouts to immediately make contact by calling 911 or reaching out to A-1 Detectives at (617) 343-6150. In a drive to gather any leads, they have also opened avenues for anonymous tips through the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800 (494) -TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
