The incident unfolded on the evening of January 2, 2024, near 519 Columbia Rd., according to a statement on the BPD's official website.
Authorities have described the suspect as a light-skinned male, possibly White or Hispanic, believed to be between the ages of 25 and 35. His build was noted to be of medium size. He was reportedly clad in a blue and black checkered jacket, a black hat, was carrying a black backpack, and donning work boots. The individual was seen riding a red bike and was last seen hastily fleeing towards Wheelock Ave.
The BPD is actively reviewing the details surrounding the theft. Detectives from District B-2, which serves the Roxbury area, are leading the investigation and urging anyone with any knowledge of the suspect or the incident to step forward.
