North End's food scene is serving up a fresh slice of change with Rina's Pizzeria, a neighborhood staple known for dishing out Neapolitan pizzas and paninis since 2015, shutting its oven doors. An Instagram post from the eatery announced the closure, hinting at a "new and exciting" venture soon to come.
The culinary community is filled with anticipation, speculating on the upcoming culinary concept that will occupy 371 Hanover Street. Rina's, located alongside the partner restaurant Strega in the vibrant North End of Boston, went beyond being a traditional sit-down establishment. It delighted customers with Italian culinary delights, whether they were on the go or relaxing at home, offering delivery options through services like DoorDash, GrubHub, and Uber Eats. according to their official website.
Led by Nick Varano, a restaurateur known for turning Strega North End, Nico, and Fratelli into local favorites, people are excited for a new venue. With Varano's successful history, diners expect delicious offerings in the space recently vacated by Rina's.
The anticipation is hinging on an Instagram declaration from the pizzeria itself, which proclaimed, “We said goodbye to Rina’s Pizzeria, but will be saying hello to something new and exciting soon! Stay tuned!” as reported by Boston Restaurants Blog.
