In the ongoing crusade to clamp down on local crime, Campbell authorities recently bagged a 33-year-old man with a laundry list of felony charges, ranging from drug sales to identity theft. David Pansullo, a Campbell resident with an existing rap sheet, found himself in cuffs once again on December 28, according to a release from the City of Campbell Police Department.

Law enforcement officers, part of an unyielding force, unearthed a cache of contraband at Pansullo’s residence after executing a search warrant. Found in the extensive search were various controlled substances earmarked for sale, along with firearm accessories and ammo—a direct violation of his bail conditions. Previously in Santa Clara County, Pansullo had been arrested on similar counts, not to mention being caught with a firearm as a convicted felon.

The latest police action brought forth charges such as possessing a controlled substance for sale and possessing a burglar's tools, as noted by details on the Local Crime News website. Pansullo was also accused of using and being under the influence of controlled substances, unlawfully using the personally identifying information of another, and possessing marijuana for sale.

Despite the severity of the charges, Pansullo managed to dodge the confines of a jail cell, now roaming on Supervised Own Recognizance Release (SORP). It's a status that raises eyebrows, casting a shadow on the judicial system's grip on repeat offenders. The police department justified the SORP by insisting through a statement that they remain "persistent in their efforts" to keep Campbell safe by responding to service calls and making proactive stops.
