A dog named King managed to escape his kennel at an Arizona pet rescue, only to attempt to liberate his fellow canine companions. When King couldn't unlock the cages of his friends, he instead created disarray in pursuit of a snack, prompting the facility's alarms to ring out into the night. The commotion unfolded at the Lost Our Home Pet Rescue facility in Tempe, as the pooch's shenanigans were caught on the site’s surveillance cameras. In an interview with FOX 10 Phoenix, founder Jodi Polanski recounted the events, saying, "The alarm went off. It was like, you know, 12 o'clock, 1 o'clock in the morning and I immediately looked to see what was going on, and couldn't find anything happening, and then I saw the mess, and I was like, oh my God,"
As the shaggy delinquent rummaged for food, his actions repeatedly triggered the alarm system, prompting a response from the local authorities. A Tempe Police officer arrived on the scene to find King mid-festivity. Not only did the officer secure the escapee back to his kennel, but he also took it upon himself to address the aftermath of King's escapade. Jodi Polanski expressed her awe to KRMG, "I had no idea the officer was going to clean up and I saw it, and I was just like, 'Wow, amazing man that he did that'."
Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is currently sounding a call for donations, in particular, pet food and large dog fosters, to help take care of King and his fellow rescues.
