The report detailed how a male perpetrator targeted cashiers, brandishing a handgun to swiftly demand and obtain money from the registers on the evening of January 3rd.
The first incident played out at approximately 7:00 P.M. on the 5100 block of South Pulaski Road, with the second following close to quickly ensue at 7:45 P.M. on the 3400 block of West 59th Street. The suspect, an African-American male in his 20s or 30s, was uniformly described as wearing a mask, gloves, and a black puffy coat to obscure his identity.
Local businesses and residents are being encouraged by authorities to exercise heightened vigilance and report any questionable behavior they witness.
