A man was slapped with serious charges Tuesday after allegedly playing a role in an armed robbery that occurred last summer on Chicago's North Side.
29-year-old Andre Mhoon, of the 2700 block of W. North Shore Ave., is facing a felony robbery charge, armed with a firearm, and aggravated unlawful restraint according to a statement released by the Chicago Police Department. Mhoon was nabbed on Monday in the vicinity of his residence.
Authorities linked Mhoon to a harrowing incident that transpired on June 23, 2023. He reportedly participated in the forcible restraint of a 38-year-old man in the 1900 block of W. Morse, with the crime culminating in the theft of the victim's possessions at gunpoint. The Chicago Police confirmed that the arrest was made following a thorough investigation that led them to the suspect.
