
A Chicago man is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly shooting a 31-year-old male last month. Vanderk Mccondichie, 43, was arrested earlier this week in connection with the violent incident, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The shooting, which took place on December 30, 2023, in the 13200 block of S. Buffalo Ave, left the victim severely injured. Mccondichie, of the 13100 block of S. Buffalo Ave, was apprehended by the Chicago Police and U.S Marshals of the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, on January 8, 2024, on the 300 block of E. 79th St, authorities said. A felony charge has been issued for attempted first-degree murder, the Chicago Police outlined in a release.
The suspect is currently being held ahead of a detention hearing at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California. No further details on the shooting or circumstances leading to the arrest have been divulged at this time.
