A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a victim in a Chicago residence earlier this week.
Christopher Gray, 47, faces multiple felony charges including a count of first-degree attempted murder and home invasion with a dangerous weapon, according to a statement released by the Chicago Police Department. The incident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. in the 4800 block of N. Monticello Ave, where Gray reportedly unlawfully entered and attacked a 38-year-old male victim, and following his identification by Chicago Police, he was apprehended and placed under arrest.
Gray, who resides on the 5200 block of N. Christiana Ave., has also been charged with one felony count of Attempt - Murder - Other Forcible Felony, and one count of Aggravated Battery with the Use of a Deadly Weapon; a warrant for his arrest was issued with these charges, officials have detailed the charges that have been lodged against this individual firmly painting the picture of the allegations he must now face.
At the moment, no further details concerning the circumstances of the attack or the condition of the victim have been made available to the public, the court has set a detention hearing, which is slated to take place at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California.
